opportunity knocks

march-1-2009-204

never miss an opportunity to be gorgeous. I absolutely LOVE to redo furniture. Some people see a chair by the street or a garage sale as a bunch of junk but no ma’am (or sir!) …not me. If the bones are there it’s a perfect chance to make something beautiful. before and AFTERS are going to be a huge part of the blog and I’ll share them with you as often as I can get my hands on them.

These b&A images were given to me by Leslie at Again and Again. She does an amazing job at breathing new life into pieces that are barely hanging on by a thread. She has incredible vision of taking off arms or adding buttons…things I would never think of. I’ll feature the store soon because it is a gold mine and one of my favorite places to visit regularly.

I love Again and Again! I bought the most beautiful vanity table there (it wasn’t a re-do) and it’s so beautiful, looks like I spent 10x’s as much!

That first pic is amazing, getting filed in my “inspiration” folder….

Love your blog, found it through Atlantis home!

Just curious…how much does it cost to get something professionally reupholstered (say…the chair you posted). Is it difficult to learn reupholstery skills?
