staycations: part 1

desperate times call for deluxe measures… so from time to time, I will share with you places I enjoy that you may or may not know about…or maybe just need to be reminded about.

In recent months, and in an effort to be conscience about spending while the world gets back on
track, I have become a fan of the “staycation.”  A little pool time, a great dinner, a few bar games, and the best part, you don’t have clean up a thing…just relax.  Ahhhhh.  I’m all for a quick get away to regroup and refresh.

You might be surprised — but this is Nylo in Plano.

The decor is pretty cool honestly. A little funky, I love the acrylic tables in the bar filled with hay…only in Texas…lots of cool outdoor lounging, great rooms, interesting choices in lighting, colors and textures. I think it’s really well done.

I have visited twice, and each time was a great experience. It’s close, ridiculously reasonable, has uber cool decor, and truly THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED I’ve ever slept in. You can buy it here (clearly I’m a huge fan.) Honestly, the hardest part is getting past the fact that you are vacationing in suburban Plano. If you can let that go of the location, there are great restaurants like Jaspers, Coast, Ra , several more…and **BONUS** you can stop by my one of my retail favs, Williams Sonoma home. Highly recommended style for the financially conscience this summer.
