pillows I: pillow talk

it

my mother once told me some things are better left unsaid. It’s so true, although, to be honest, I’m not great at it. I fell in love with Laura Davis’s work at the Etsy show in May. Laura is a furniture designer with a great sense of humor. She has such pretty way of saying the most blunt things that we’ve all wanted to say from time to time.

In addition to the pillows with wonderful embroidered sayings, she has a knack for pairing vintage fabrics and also stitching cool chair outlines into pillow (and we know I love chairs!)

The other charming collection she had at Etsy was a grouping of vintage dishes that were put together to create one unique serving tray or tiered piece. I feel like all of Laura’s work has an unexpected twist. Be sure to check out Laura’s blog here. You can also peruse her Etsy shop here or her work is available at Make in Oak Cliff.
