House of Dang

overall2

last dance… House of Dang is one of those funky shops where anything goes. I’m never/always surprised by what I find in there. Great t-shirts designed by local artists, vintage jewelry, clothes new and vintage, furniture…it’s a random mix of fun and unexpected hysteria.

Sadly for those that like to shake things up a bit, the HOD is shutting the doors on Friday but don’t panic, Doug Voisin and Andrew Bayer are moving to a studio space in Oak Cliff. If you’ve never been you should stop in before it’s gone and definitely check out their website. It’s is a blast to look at and a great reflection of the way these guys think.

Seriously, these crazy glitter beaked bird heads are so genius and I think those colorful petty coats on the ceiling rock. Crazy fun. It will be missed on my Saturday afternoon shopping marathons around town.

The duo will continue to sell their line on the web and they are hosting a party at the store on Friday evening the 24th for their last dance from 7-10. I googled the closing and found a little more info here and here.
