i have always considered myself lucky…Throughout my life I’ve had some amazing opportunities and met many remarkable individuals. Sometimes people come into your world and you think it’s for one reason (like their gorgeous home) and in fact it’s for something different entirely. I have been waiting to share this house with you for quite some time because I’m working on a follow-up post on this awe-inspiring family. I literally stumbled upon this family of women via a mere suggestion of Again Design Studio as I was starting my blog. At the time I visited this house (I am almost embarrassed to admit) I had no clue how incredible they are or how they would influence my life but you will have to hang on a bit longer for that post. It will no doubt blow your mind even more than this house (if you can imagine) but let’s start here. This is the home of my friend Judy Aldridge and it encompasses a stunning balance of rustic, feminine, modern, glam, bohemian… take in all the goodness for yourself.

Judy is a girl after my own heart. She is not afraid to take risks and has the confidence in herself that it will be great. She bought this house because of the location and price point but what she’s done to it has completely transformed the space. From the outside this house is kind of unassuming, simple, mid-70’s suburban home but one foot in on the polished concrete floor and (deep breath) - AH-mazing.
A strong mix of vintage, new and modern and then some very groovy distressed elements, her fantastic collection of furniture is pulled from a range of periods and places. One of my top picks is the day bed in the living room, covered in burlap, linens, faux fur…such a chic and comfortable spot.

As you can imagine her soothing color palette is right up my alley, even Shelley, one of the three Aldridge dogs, blends with the overall textural scheme and neutral hues. And below, I totally dig this Umbra clock Judy snagged at Barneys. As I recall it’s a mix of plastic action figures, a baby Jesus and we think some happy meal trinkets. It’s one of the coolest accessories in the house.

Judy is a former model turned fashion designer, online boutique owner and blogger. This is a peak into her creative space, more on that later…

So cool… and I’ve never gotten the grand tour before!
Well, finally. Now I know that my style is “rustic, feminine, modern, glam, bohemian”! Oh yeah, Sam, this is gggggggggggorgeous! Beautifully inspiring space! I am hearting it all over the place!
My daughter and I follow Judy and Jane’s every move through their blogs. They are completely remarkable and in fact, Jane has changed my daughter’s life and influenced her to follow her own passions at a young age. They are very generous to share their thoughts and ideas about design and fashion. It doesn’t get much better than Judy and Jane Aldridge! Can’t wait for more posts about them!
I love this house! the only part I don’t think is very exciting is the kitchen (except for the table and chairs). Otherwise it is so pretty!
I love Judy and Jane’s sense of style and aesthetics. And I love how their site helped me discover your blog too. =) Their home reminds me of Delphine Groult’s designs. I think they would LOVE her furniture.
ohmygosh judy’s style is incredible
