calling all shopaholics…it’s official, Jason McDaniel of MissingQPress, creator of INCREDIBLE letterpress paper goods and I are getting together to have a casual yet fabulous yard sale of things we love. Jason has created all kind of new letterpress goodies (an amazing calendar, notecards, tags, cards, place cards, list goes on and on) and I have been collecting, rethinking, reinventing all kinds of curious finds (lamps, chairs, tables, wall hangings, antlers, skulls and tons of antiques - very cool, unusual stuff). We thought it would be fun to preview a few small things on the blog…we’ll probably do one more sneak peak before the show as a hint of what’s to come so stay tuned for location details. The sale will be Saturday, October 10, from 9-3ish. Hope you can make it!

Shut the front door! This calendar is so great. I’m in love with it. The design, the paper, the colors…it’s as fab in real life as you might think it is.

And this is my current precious obsession…actual birds nest on a lucite base holding a honkin’ gorgeous smokey crystal. SWOON.

ooohhh…don’t kid yourself. These are Jason’s brilliance. Victorian cutouts framed with exquisite letterpress. Chic. Strange. Lovely.

Saturday, October 10, from 9-3ish
*note: address location will be given out just prior to the event

Looks fantastic, count us in!
Oh how I WISH I could be there! Unfortunately it’s a little too far away as I live in Finland…
I can’t wait — you make everything look so amazing the way you have them displayed under glass domes.
This will be amazing… but I am bummed that you’re now going to sell all the cool stuff I’ve been seeing around the house. It will be missed.
Hey Bret, just because it’s leaving your house doesn’t mean you can’t buy it back!!!! What a great deal! You’ll appreciate it’s value so much more! :)
This is SUCH great temptation, Kids! No surprise that the letterpress is stupendous and I have every confidence that the whole event will be one sophisticated shebang! I finally received the smackdown on being Dallas-bound for October. :( The owners and the manager are all taking time off for 3 weeks of the month which leaves, um, me to look after the store. I know that being an entrepreneur isn’t any guaranteed vacation time but getting shut down by someone else’s scheduling just bites. BITES, I tell you!
I am expecting plenty of pics! Hint, hint, Bret.
And, Miss Sam, in a VERY delayed response there will not be any immediate “before” and “after” pics for you to get hold of, I’m afraid. What I’ve been undertaking is of a much more practical than design-oriented nature. One day though… I hope!
Hope all ya’ll are well! :)
Hey… did I ever send you the Barn House link? I can’t remember. ??? Well, in case I went all geriatric on you… http://barnhousebh.blogspot.com/
Okey dokey?
Hah, can’t wait to see all of your letterpress, Jason!
Hey, Uncle Beefy! Thanks again for the Seattle tour, and let us know when you’re going to bless us with a visit. Still following your blog, and LOL @ N. Diamond!
I can’t wait! Just added it to my calendar!
Okay, I give up. Cancel the Marfa rezzies, we’re staying home for birds and bell jars!!!!
Your website showed up via a friend of my daughter’s -who’s a recent Sewanee (TN) graduate. Tasteful and cool stuff; please put me on your mail list.
OMG! I will SO be there! Unless I have to leave early to go to Austin that day, but otherwise please count me in.
I plan to attend! Beautiful things.
