oh and ps - make a reservation… Food in Round Top is actually pretty good, ok, really good. We packed in a lot of shopping and shamefully a lot of really tasty calories into our short trip. With all that hard work shopping you need nourishment people. There’s plenty of fair food (corn dogs, funnel cakes) and we were all so looking forward to a little fried action but we never got that far.
We had heard of Royer’s as being the place to eat in town but as we know now it is by far the most favored place to go in RT and one of the top picks in the state. .

is even better… ridiculously delicious food, great finds/killer deals, the best friends and super sore feet. We’re back from Round Top and we had a blast. I know this post is long (mostly images) but I’ve had so many people ask me to post about it because they have never been. SO! Today I will post about the shopping, food and lodging to follow. If you don’t have plans this weekend you should head down south to the mind boggling goodness of vast fields filled with antiques and good times.

c’mon y’all!! Big Tex is back. I know you’ve all been dieting for weeks in great anticipation for your fried food binge. I’ve included a list of all the fried foods I could find on the Fair site and then the new foods for 2009.

don’t kid yourself… We are blessed to have a plethora of AMAZING antique nourishment here in the Big D. One of my newer front runners is North Star Antiques on Industrial (of course). It’s a relatively small space in comparison to some of my other favs but it’s chalked FULL of gems.

we need something fun… Don’t you think? It’s Wednesday, it’s overcast (AGAIN) and we need a little dabble of good times. So - I bring you, HAPPY TAPE!
