i know how it looks… but I’m really not THAT much of a burger fan but if it’s a good one - you betcha I’m in! We got the tip from Jan and Ka Yeung that this place was a must and then over and over again from locals it got rave reviews. So we ventured out Las Vegas Highway to check out this fantastic hamburger joint where we were sure to have a wait but it was well worth it.

Well, not to worry, we loaded up in the car on Monday, got lost trying to find it and PS - found on via iPhone on the way that it is CLOSED ON MONDAYS!! We had our taste buds set on these famous tasty treats so we were bummed to say the least BUT we headed back out Tuesday (confirmed that they were open) and boy were we glad we did.

Bobcat Bite is a teeny little place. It’s not fancy. It’s out in the middle of nowhere. Seating is probably five tables in the main dining area and about the same outside. Cash only so make an ATM stop before you go because I’ll tell you right now there’s not one anywhere close. The name Bobcat Bite came about because bobcats actually used to come up to the back door and the employees of BB used to feed them. Apparently they still stop by looking for food occasionally, the last sighting was this past summer, mid-June.
what to order: Hands down the green chili cheese burger. You will be over-the-top full and happily satisfied (probably hardly functional).

Yep, they’re worth it. And they have the awards on the wall and the locals singing their praises to prove it. So just another wonderful eatery to note if you’re ever out this way. It’s hard to break from the favorites (the Shed, Compound, Pasqual’s) but you’ll be glad you did. And there’s a bit of beautiful scenery to enjoy too.

Hope you are having a blast, looks like a great time! =)
Sounds cool! just enjoy, and have a great time. ;D

While I was visiting a friend in Santa Fe last year I stopped in and had a green chili burger. It was a really good burger. Gotta love the small size of the place and the big taste of the food.
I love the Bobcat Bite!
