call it shabby chic or a junk high if you want… but I’m just going to call it an amazingly rare eye for graceful and livable style. This is the charming home one of my dearest friends and we love to shop together. She has the gift. You know, the one where you race into an antique emporium and like a heat seeking missile she can hone in something in seconds to figure out how to rethink it or the absolute most perfect spot for the fab find to live before most people have even had a chance to blink. We’re in, we’re out. We bought, we love. It’s truly a great friendship.
I’m thrilled to finally share with you the lovely home of Trisha and Patrick Freeman. Soak it up. It’s a good one. And don’t miss the chandelier collection at the end of the post…shouldn’t we all aspire to have a stockpile this great?

First of all, make note of the peaceful color palette. I’m drawing from this inspiration on my next home for sure. I firmly believe your home should be soothing and surround you with happiness and I think this home captures that feel at every turn. Color, patterns and fabrics are really perfectly in harmony, not boring, not crazy but just relaxing.

Make note: do not be afraid of color. (I’m really telling myself that more than anything). Trish and I used to live together after college and I’ll never forget when she brought home an indescribable green paint color and I thought. OMG. She has lost her mind but shut my mouth because it was perfectly funky and completely changed our rental house into a super cool vintage haven. Well, I’m sure it’s no shock that when she said she was painting this kitchen a light green that Miss Anti-Color (that would be me) was like EEEK! Are you sure. Of course it’s perfect and completely turned the kitchen from just another room into a great focal point of the house. Oh, and let me not forget to introduce Charlie (their lovable boxer).

And this little princess is a designer in training, pink tutu and all, Phoebe Freeman.

Ok, this is what I’m talking about. These clocks are a perfect example of “the gift.” Thank you, now I feel as though I need to start a clock collection…

I’m just sayin’…did YOUR ROOM look this fabulous when you were 1.5? Heck, does it look this fab now??

So last but CERTAINLY not least I have to highlight the lighting. This woman loves chandeliers and could write a book on them. What a collection. Enjoy!

Also, last bit of super important scoop: Trisha just opened a booth at one of our favorite stores on Industrial, White Elephant. Her booth is near one of my other most favorite local style seekers, Jacqui Stoneman. It’s quite a duo there in WE. Way to go ladies, it’s a little slice of heaven in there.
