some people… I swear. First of all, I don’t usually blog about blogs but then there are those rare individuals who literally blow me away at almost every encounter. Julia Rothman is one of those people. One of the kindest people I know that is talented beyond words. I truly love everything she touches and to be such a wonderfully good-natured person on top of that is so unusual. And of course, shocker, one of my favorite blogs is book-by-it’s-cover by Julia. It’s all about books, fabulous books. If you haven’t ever been to it just go ahead and block out the next four hours of your life because you will fully engulfed in this blog. I don’t know where she finds them all but it’s remarkable.

AND YESTERDAY she tweeted about this awesome paper-comes-to-life movie. What am I going to do with her?! She has a knack for finding the coolest stuff and this video is mindbogglingly awesome. And if you’re a paper geek like me then you will probably try to dissect it and figure out how to do it!!

Julia, you are just so amazing… Check out the some of the rest of Julia-genius+goodness. wallpaper (LOVE!!!!), bedding, paper goods, prints, more, more, more…or you can read my previous post on this talented young lady from the summer.

Thanks for the paper movie Julia!

window shopping

picture-2

i’ll admit… I have been holding on to these amazing images just WAITING for the holidays to finally arrive and whoa!! Here they are! How is it December already?? I am sort of a stickler for waiting until it’s officially December to begin the Christmas celebration. This is a gorgeous series of New York holiday windows by Manny Rodriguez. I’m fascinated with the oh-so lovely compositions of the city’s reflections against the wit, whimsy and wonder of the window displays.

I’m headed to New York for a whirlwind trip next week. I am anxious to get there and really get in the Christmas spirit. It’s incredibly beautiful (and yes, super cold) there around this time of year. Enjoy these stunning images while you sip your hot cocoa and write out your lux list for Santa!!
