burrrrrrr… today we are headed to Park City today to enjoy a few films, a little skiing (or in my case, snow plowing), spa, karoake, and good friends. It is going to be absolutely freezing — apparently it’s been snowing like crazy. I’ll fill you in if we come across anything you must know about and of course I’ll be tweeting. I’ll keep ya posted on any celebrity stalking I may encounter!
Thanks to Beth at the Nest for my feature Q&A on the Nest blog today!
Have a great Wednesday!

some people…are the perfect enablers. You know the friend you always know to call when you want them to say “Yes! Of course you NEED that $800 light fixture that has no place in your home. It’s perfect! If you don’t buy it I will” Well, I have a couple of friends like that and one of them is Jamie Laubhan-Oliver. She loves estate sales more than I do and the girl is like a heat-seeking missile for unsual and fabulous finds with impeccable taste. Today is your lucky day. Jamie, her talented husband Larry and photographer Elizabeth Lavin have pulled together their treasure hunting abilities to form a curious collection that spans from charming to chilling. Beautifully selected pieces, gorgeous photographs, fair prices, it’s hard to resist – Two Art Directors and a Photographer via Etsy.

a little slice of fried heaven… I started the blog with the intention that it would be fun to tell people about things I love old and new. I wouldn’t call this one oldie but it’s a goodie. Hattie’s in Bishop Arts district still rocks my happy little food+interior loving world. The mouth watering food, the gorgeous space, the relaxed atmosphere…Southern. Comfort. Deliciousness. I think most people frequent Hattie’s for dinner and drinks — Fried green tomatoes or the the tomato bisque with mini grilled cheese but friends, let me tell you about the brunch. I haven’t been there for brunch in several years but I went this Sunday and people, …run, do not walk, to devour the chicken and waffles with red pepper maple glazed syrup. Oh yes, It’s as delightful as it sounds.
**side note + follow up to Hope for Haiti: THRILLED to tell you that Amos Ivey and several other Haitian adoptions were sped up as a result of the tragedy. Amos was brought to the US this Saturday and is now permanently with his family in Austin!! Wonderful news!!

lord knows I try… I so rarely pull stories from other blogs or at least I make a conscience effort not to (photos yes but places and people not typically…anyway…). There are tons of bloggers out there with great content and I applaud them all. BUT I had dinner with the adorable Haley Schultheis from Nonsense & Sensibility and Pink Memo last night and I just truly think her blog content is great. I checked it out this morning as I was pondering about what to post this beautiful Friday and am in LOVE with her latest post about the Crosby Hotel!! My sweet and always-in-the-know friend Martha happened to also tell me about this hotel earlier this week - we hope to have tea there someday! Hope you enjoy this hotel - Bestill my heart.
Have a wonderful weekend!

this day… I’m really loving all of the typographic neon art that I’m seeing lately. Discovered this little treasure the other day on ffffound and it made me happy. I NEED one in my home! Things have been wee bit hectic around the studio this week and I started teaching this week in addition to the regular hustle and bustle. Hope you are having a great week and enjoying the beautiful sunshine today (where ever you are…) It’s a gorgeous day here in Dallas.
