i love love… (Wedding No. 2) You may remember this dynamic duo from a few weeks ago but if you missed it then it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Rico’s. Alicia and Adam = adorable (not in an icky way…like in a fabulous-totally-jealous-of-their-greatness way). Not only did they open their new shop Bows and Arrows at the end of last year but they also got married. When I was there writing them up the first time for the blog Alicia told me about the wedding and honestly these two are the ones who inspired me to do this back to back 14 days posts until Valentine’s Day. I had a couple of weddings I wanted to share but didn’t know when or how but when I saw the Rico’s amazing wedding it hit me. Every little detail and shade of the bright lemony yellow throughout their nuptials is pure happiness. Hope it brings the same smile to your face as it did to mine.
Note: The Ricos wedding is in the current issue of The Knot, New York and was featured last week on Brooklyn Bride.

Their wedding took place right behind where they lived at the time in Brooklyn…truly charming little bridge and setting. This is Alicia with all of her bridesmaids on the boat!

Don’t know the story behind that necklace but it’s safe to say we all love it, yes?

All the flowers were absolutely stunning, all designed with careful attention by Alicia. Very explicit instruction with many, many yellow (of course) post-it notes. Ahhhmazing. Loved them so much I will be writing them up in the next issue of FD Luxe - so look for more on that in the March issue.

Adam’s mom makes quilts… I thought this was a fantastic way to do a guest book.

Notice all the details here: tons of yellow pompoms Alicia sifted out of many multicolored collections, little hand written placecards on several different kinds of yellow and gray paper handcut into various shapes with scalloped edges. And FYI - those two flowers are truly my MOST favorite ever - ranunculus and garden roses - throw a peony in there and I’m all yours.

There will be dancing…

Look at these favors and this pompom wreath!! The wreath is made of yarn pompoms and the favors are all different silk screens by Adam of bird of the area. Precious with a capital “P”.

These two… so darn amazing, happy and talented. Congratulations Adam and Alicia! Thanks for letting us enjoy your moment a little longer and best wishes to a bright and wonderful future together!!!
