through yeung eyes

beautiful, isn’t it… I could get lost in this photo. I love the way it is framed so unusually yet so perfectly and serenely. To me, it’s completely different than images we’ve all seen so many times of breathtaking landscapes. It’s like you’re there - only in black and white.

Last night I went to the preview of the first exhibit at the ”link asia” featuring new contemporary artist gallery in the Crow Collection of Asian Art. I have to say…it was stunning. The first show is Ka Yeung’s China Impermanent Beauty, 1996-1997. I strongly recommend visiting, especially if you love to travel or love photography. The opening is this Saturday and Ka will be speaking at 3:00. (side note: He is one of the most humble, talented people I know…it is a rare treat to see him speak) More info here and a brief write up from Christopher Wynn/DMN here.

Thank you for your kind words. It was a wonderful experience and I appreciate all the support from friends family and especially the Crow Collection. I really hope many more people will become members so that the museum keeps offering opportunities to show in the LinkAsia gallery. It is a very serene and beautiful place in the middle of a city. I can’t wait to see this exhibit. I’m going tonight for the New Year’s celebration and wish I could see this show at the same time. But I’ll go back to see it. Looks fabulous.
