it’s a sickness really… this love affair I have with chairs. All my friends give me a hard time every chance they get. In most of the rooms in my house there are more places to sit than technically appropriate but I can’t help it. I love them. Each one I can justify for one reason or another, the legs, the shape, the finish…not to mention the stack (and I do mean stack or maybe stacks!) of chair in both the garage and my studio behind the house waiting for a little TLC and to be “reinvented.” My sweet friend Martha, sent me these chairs by LA based furniture designer Tanya Aguiniga a while back and I’ve been waiting for the perfect cold day to share them with you because the first ones I saw were felted. I started looking into more of Tanya’s work last night and was awe-struck. It’s ah-mazing. She goes far beyond chairs, birds, necklaces, bags…all kinds of gorgeous pieces.
