it’s a shame

211_liz0068_lowres

to only dream at night… You should have a few opportunities during the day. — said ever so brilliantly by Stephen Alesch, one half of duo Roman and Williams (the interior greatness that I find myself inspired by today). I have seen their work several times. My friend and co-worker Kevin loves their style and yesterday I was lucky enough attend a photoshoot at Judy’s with the incredible Douglas Friedman (more on that later, for sure) and he reminded me of their shear genius. I love how their work is about the experience as a whole…it’s not neccessarily about an object or a vignette but about how all of it plays so well together to create a space that feels evolved and liveable, not contrived. Check out their blog here or a bit of their work and a video really beautifully captures their personalities below.

Wow, this was really amazing and inspiring. They give off a whole other level of ‘cool’. Is there an inch of space that isn’t beautiful and unique in it’s own way?

  2. Paige says:

They also did Gwenyth Paltrow’s NYC Apartment that will be in Vogue next month! It is amazing!

Interiors with a masculine sensibility are hard to find. They are truly an inspiration to me.
