cincinnatti federal building

i think that croc ate the ram… I love all things animals (who doesn’t?). I stumbled across the Cincinnatti Federal Building while researching Charley Harper not too long ago. Isn’t it great? 100 animals all made out of tiles…

There are two murals. Both completed in 1964 and each are 18 x 10.5 feet. Charlie Harper’s style has been an inspiration to so many of the trends we see going on right now with animals. He’s a genius. The best place I could find his prints was here and of course there’s the Todd Oldam book on Charley Harper.

  4. What a happy place! Can you imagine going to work there everyday. I’d be in a great mood everyday! Thanks for sharing these. Might have to put Cincinatti on my list of places to visit.

Thanks for crediting my images, and I’m glad you like the mural! The comprehensive source for Harper prints is <a href=”http://www.fabframes.comFabulous Frames & Art, a gallery in Cincinnati that’s been selling prints by the Harper family for over 30 years. Any other dealer will have less of a print selection.
