i owe you so many… updates on the Dwell with Dignity journey. I actually have three (maybe four!? eek!!) houses I need to share with you. The girls (Lisa and Kim) have been so busy doing good and moving into their new DWD house we just got caught up a few weeks ago. I always ask for the breakdown on the houses because it fascinates me how resourceful they are and what they accomplish in such a short time. Remember the DWD crew finds out less than a week before the family moves in who they are and what needs they have. Photos and details from their Citywalk house which was for a graduate of Interfaith housing and her six year old daughter. It turned out fabulously, so much fun. Also, so happy to report that DWD is the Hot Nonprofit in the August Hot Issue of FD Luxe! Congratulations!!

Would you have loved this room as a kid?? This dresser was revamped using this yellow and grey wallpaper and the entire dresser painted grey. LOVE the way it turned out!

Voila - the graduate’s room. The mother…it’s beautifully executed, lux, and super cozy. The Dwell gals even had “Sweet Dreams” embroidered on her sheets.

what a FANTASTIC project lady. this space looks amazing. what a gift.
Magic.
I have really loved your Dwell with Dignity posts - I need to find out if Austin has something similar! It’s obvious that it’s such a blessing.
As a supporter of Central Dallas Ministries, and those they serve, I am estatic about the work you are doing to help their clients feel at home at CityWalk!
[...] I love this thrifty home make-over for charity Dwell with Dignity (via StyleSwoon) [...]
So so wonderful and beautiful to look at!
This makes me speechless. I love what is being done for people who truly need and will appreciate it!
