happiness in my inbox… a friend of mine sent this to me the other day. I heart this project big time. It’s a collection of 1,200 names for yellow. Explanation of the fish sandwich/project — “My friend said his shirt is blue. I said, it’s Cobalt. He said, that means blue, right? And I’m all, yeah, but it’s specific. And he’s all, ok, you keep busy being specific about my shirt and I’ll keep busy eating this here fish sandwich. And then I go, it’s pecan crusted catfish on black olive foccacia. And he’s all, like I said, fish sandwich.”
Crack me up and PS - so the world I live in everyday. I’ve included a couple more photos below but you really must go check out the blog for the full scoop. Via Aunt Peaches and I am really loving it and her. Seriously, she’s hysterical. Read her “about section” and you must check out her glitter encrusted disco dinosaurs. What?!? I love.

oh round top, for the love… Why must you make it so difficult to edit? I think one of the hardest things about being in RT is being mission-less. If you aren’t looking for something specific I’m pretty sure it’s incredibly overwhelming but lucky for me this time I was shopping for a client and that made it so much easier. I honestly think you can find anything there if you just know what you are looking for. Modern, Shabby, French, Industrial, Cowboy…all of it.
All that said, we’re home and exhausted but we had a blast. One cabin, one trailer, three cars, five junkin’ girls, several bottles of wine and five sunburns later… SO. MUCH. FUN. It’s still going this weekend if you can make it! See a few photos/details from our trip and the great place we stayed below.

to start the weekend… There’s so much great stuff going on this weekend and I’m leaving town so I apologize for the quick post. Things you should know about are: Red’s Pop Up Shop on Greenville, The State Fair!! is open for business, the Greek Festival, and of course Round Top is in full swing for the early birds. Hope you fit some shopping and good food (fried or otherwise!) in somewhere. More images below from Reds - it’s a small collective of some of my favorite artists, letterpress people, jewelry makers, stores, etc in town. I’m headed to Round Top to see what I can find. See y’all!

i’m freakishly obsessing over this… 10,000 sheep created by workers in the Amazon’s Mechanical Turk or better known as The Sheep Market. I just think it’s fun…you can watch how they drew them when you mouse over them. Supposedly you can by them but I can’t seem to figure that out! But what is kinda awesome is you can send someone a sheep and it’s totally anonymous. I think that’s pretty funny…Check it out here.

oh to have a space like this… Our friends Narda Lebo (ultra talented illustrator) and Steve Gibbs (ultra talented graphic designer) have this amazing yard. To call it a” yard” is really unfair…it’s really more of an outdoor oasis/haven/little slice of peaceful heaven. I asked Narda if I could shoot the “yard” and it turned into the yard, the house and the best part (and it’s seriously hard to top the yard) …her studio. I love my space that I work in everyday and feel very fortunate but if I got to work where Narda does, well…let’s just say…it is ridiculously awesome. Peaceful, inspiring, lovely, quiet, perfection. Enjoy.
