homemade peaches (and ice cream)

img_2310_revised1

good memories… We had a peach tree in our backyard growing up and I absolutely loved it. We had peach EVERYthing. We gave away tons and tons of peaches to our neighbors, friends and still had a ton left over to eat — sweet goodness peach overload. I rarely get peaches anymore because I’m rather particular about their deliciousness. Lucky for me my parents have started growing them again and showed up with a bag full of little peaches yesterday. Below is my FAVORITE peach recipe from my mother for homemade peach ice cream. Feels appropriate for Memorial Day weekend don’t you think?

Have a great weekend!

happiness in a bottle

get this… so today was one of those days where I needed to be in 3 different places all at the same time. Surprisingly I could not find a way to split myself into thirds nor did I have time for lunch. I ran into 7-11 (by far one of the most superior convenient stores EVER in my opinion) and literally found happiness in a bottle. It’s called Neuro Bliss. There are several iterations of this drink depending on your need but this one touts reducing stress, enhances mood, supports memory and promotes a positive outlook. I’m not going to lie — it worked! No, it did not divide me in three but it definitely put a positive spin on things, it’s tasty, seemingly harmless, low cal and refreshing. Totally random I know but wanted to share. We all need a pick me up now and then, yes?

Happy Thursday friends!! Stay tuned for a fun little announcement tomorrow…

dark and dreamy

Woodkid - Iron from WOODKID on Vimeo.

not sure… what I think about it but lately my house has taken a bit of a turn to darker, deeper tones. I have been helping Bret with some pretty amazing photoshoots lately and they seem to be little well, dark but fabulous. In the spirit of that creative inspiration he showed me this amazing video by Woodkid the other day…wanted to share with you. Bizarre but beautiful yes?
