thrilled to share… with you the superbly stylish and serene home of fashion writer Kristie Ramirez Hoistma and her family - husband, Tom (a highly talented and accomplished artist) and two adorable kiddos Cruz and Pilar. Kristie began her career at D Magazine and has written for Lucky. She is currently the fashion director at Texas Monthly and editor-at-large for FD Luxe. This home captivates perfectly polished but casual, livable style filled with GREAT art. I love the brilliant moments of color, not overwhelming or screaming but flawlessly integrated. Ever since I visited Kristie’s house I can’t stop thinking about the pink in her front living area. Daring but tranquil.
Thanks to Kristie and fam for sharing their pad perfection with us. More to see below. Enjoy!

formal living - the touches of pink that are swimming in my dreams.

dining… d-y-i-n-g over the hex saltillo tile floor. Kristie saw it in Domino and Tom gave it to her as an anniversary present. I’m going on record now to say that I have to have this one day. It’s gorgeous.

cruz’s cool pad - how fun is this place? The canvas that is his headboard?! and the poofs? and the hanging seat? oh my!

pilar’s palace - oh so pretty. Lovely touches of her mother’s recent trip to India and the monogrammed pillow. I think the pink/purple/orange combo is perfect for a little girl’s room. It’s sweet but not too sweet.

master magnificence - this great pillow arrived the week I came to photograph. It was a suzani throw Kristie had made into a pillow. As with the rest of the house, it’s the perfect touch of color.

Tom and Kristie both have an incredible eye…Kristie is, of course a talented fashion editor, and I’ve always enjoyed reading her take on trends…but Tom was an accomplished artist as well. It’s great to see a home filled with so many beautiful and meaningful things that represent the cultures and joy of a life lived well. Thanks for posting this!

It is peaceful AND perfect. J’adore.
God I want those rugs…
