it’s getting good isn’t it… Lucky for us (and by us I mean you and I) Melissa Woody is a good friend of Becky Frey. I wrote about one of her stunning mineral lamps in FD last year and since she has opened a store called The Lamp Shoppe in the Design District. She can make a lamp out of anything. Minerals, driftwood, antiques, you name it, she can make it - oh, and it will be exquisite. Add on options of tons of finials, lucite bases, custom shades and even cord options (did you even know there was such a thing?). So when Becky told me she was going to partner with “Woody” to make a lamp for the giveaway you bet I was excited.

Made just for you via on of the most amazing people and real estate agents in town, Becky Frey Real Estate — a pair of custom lamps of antique repro gilt wood candlesticks with silk oval drum shades, french braided cord with a french (of course) drop line, and topped off with a brown carnelian finial. A French “drop line” means that the cord come out of the top of the light near the switch rather than the back of the lamp. This I did not know. Something new! One of my favorite things to do is to check out Becky’s listings and day dream about some of the gorgeous modern houses she represents. I adore them. And her!
