um, excuse me… Can I live here?? I’ve hardly been able to sleep since I saw this house. VERY excited to share it with you today. This is the home of the lovely home-obsessed Silka Sanchez who is OCD about interiors as I am. She and her sister-in-law, Theresa, can talk for hours about where to put something (love that about them). She’s one of “our people.” What’s funny to me is she’s not really into the blog-o-sphere. More ebay!? Ebay intimidates me but this motivates me to suck it up and get shopping. Hope you LOVE LOVE LOVE this as much as I do and it leaves you with visions of vintage sugarplums dancing in your head! Stay tuned for Theresa’s home to appear in a few weeks!

such a pleasure… Last week I visited the very talented Rebecca Sherman in her gracefully chic condo. I have been asking her to shoot her home for a while now and it was worth the wait. Rebecca is a writer, blogger, and treasure seeker based in Dallas. Her subject matter is typically jaw-droppingly gorgeous architecture and interiors for regional and national publications ranging from D Home and Modern Luxury to Southern Living. You should definitely check out her blog Decor Dallas: houses, gardens and people. She has clearly soaked up the design and grandeur of so many of the stories she has written over the years and channeled them into her own monochromatic style haven that I would define as modern classic. One of my favorite local designers, Julio Quinones, helped Rebecca make some of the original fabric selections and sourcing for furniture.
Savor the serenity and style. Enjoy.

ooooooh fun… I’ll tell you we had a blast. This is a relatively quick detailed look at a living and dining room we’ve just completed my friend and client Amy Phillips. It was the first interior endeavor for SWOON, the studio and it was tons of fun. Amy and I have known each other and worked together for several years. When she and I first talked about her house she stressed how important it was that it was modern and not cluttered (at all!!) but super comfortable and livable. That’s more of a challenge than you might realize. It’s one thing to make it look pretty but comfy? We tested out cozy perfection from sofas to dining chairs and kept it all pretty darn reasonable - which is so important to me. I love a good deal. She was happy and so was I. Bask in the glow of comfortable luxury.

my apologies… for getting derailed this week with that whole wedding thing ;) but I promise you Vynsie Law’s home filled with vintage fabulosity was worth every moment of nail biting anticipation. Let’s just start with this little vignette of OH-SO bright and cheery happiness. YES, that wall paper is even more amazing in person. YES, that chair rocks my world too and WHERE can I get that poster??? Enjoy!

have I got a treat for you… it has been a busy week so sorry for the lack of posts but this was worth the wait. I’m thrilled today to share with you the Christmas Collection of Missing Q Press. Jason has been gathering vintage holiday decor for years and of course has a knack for making it all look fabulous. Literally he has more than 10 trees in his house. Hundreds of gorgeous and interesting ornaments, glass cloches covering precious little antique Christmas trinkets. It’s a lovely, happy holiday…Enjoy!
