who invented this

cookie-1

a cookie within a cookie… Get out people!? So not helping with the eating healthy (I keep trying to talk myself into) but d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s?!! My sweet friend Martha forwarded me Glitter and Pearls because of the design and next thing I know I’m sucked into the content. In love with this blog! Kiss the next good while goodbye as you peruse her findings but this post from Lexi I just had to share.

More cookies and link to original person to be blamed for this caloric greatness below.

lovely bites: part 1

home2latr3

and most delicious… My friend Tracie Amend is a ridiculously amazing cook and hostess. You might remember the delicious and beautifully presented spread at Martha’s fabulous forty. Well, Tracie was given access to an apartment at the Ritz Carlton for Super Bowl weekend and invited three of her girlfriends to lunch (which she so lovingly and amazingly prepared all by her little self). Below are images of every little detail and recipes that were too good I had to share.

I’m feeling even more lucky because she will be sharing her passion for food on the blog from time to time and we’re calling it “lovely bites” so stay tuned because we are talkin’ seriously. good. LOVELY. food. Thank you Tracie!

talisker

picture-4

i was giving recommendations… to a friend for Park City and this popped into my head from our visit last year. Talisker on Main is a restaurant on Main Street in PC and the first “public amenity” for the private club of Talisker. The photo above from the Talisker campaign pretty much captures the oh-it’s-so-good-to-be-me all american fairytale lifestyle of Talisker (and I mean that in the most positive way). Think Ralph Lauren vibe, warm cozy fires, the best cashmere, perfect weather winter or summer, tasty cocktails and good friends… you follow me? Well, if you just happen to be in Park City you should definitely treat yourself a little hot toddie and some delicious food at TOM. Photos of the restaurant below.

hot toddies

wc-whiskey

we finally… got our first dose of winter this weekend and even a little snow on the ground. It’s hardly been cold thus far but a few weeks ago for Bret’s show at We are 1976 Derek whipped up some spiced apple cider and I haven’t stopped thinking about that delicious drink since. Literally he made it with Apple Juice and Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey in a crockpot. Seriously people. It was THAT SIMPLE and so yummy. The recipe for this photo is below (but I’ll probably stick with the sweet and easy plan). Happy Monday!!

too many of my favorite things

chocolatecoveredimage

chocolate, bacon, and manny… I had heard of Dude Sweet Chocolate when I was working on my chocolate story for FD last year. They were just opening so we included them in our story but I hadn’t had the opportunity and I do mean OPPORTUNITY to enjoy these chocolates. It was at least 2 or 3 months later when I finally tried them and all I can say is shut the front door people. Blew. My. Little. Taste buds.

Well, for the past nine months or so I keep meaning to write up my new favorite chocolates and to top it off I have the most amazingly-delicious-melt in your mouth photos from photographer extraordinaire Manny Rodriguez. But as if all of that wasn’t enough for me to get my act together to blog DSC — last week I just HAD to go to a chocolate tasting for a project I’m working on (rough, I know). In addition to the artisan chocolates I’m so infatuated with there was “chocolate covered bacon.” It’s really been hard to think about much else since. So here I am FINALLY sharing this greatness with all of you.
