wishing i was… jumping in the water somewhere on Spring Break. All my friends with kiddos are out frolicking in the fun and I’m wishing I was during this oh-so hectic week. I just love spring break. A whole entire week. Sunburns. Cool weather. Good times.

I own one Scout and Catalogue bag but this one - freggin’ rose gold sequins with “distressed Italian leather bottom corners” - haunting me. And then a quick rose gold search lead me to this ring and then this one….. aaack. Must go to work.

this morning… I was contemplating what to post as I had promised my BFF a good one today. And although it’s kind of a day late (yesterday was National Women’s Day) it seems like appropriate timing. I was doing my usual morning Facebook browse and found this charming and inspiring CBS News video (of all places). The video is an interview with Sara Blakely, the inventor of Spanx celebrating her face on the cover of Forbes magazine as the youngest woman billionaire without the help of a husband or inheritance. I can’t help but be proud and we all love Spanx. You HAVE to watch the video, short and sweet — she talks about her husband’s reaction (loved), the power of the brand (thank you!!!) and her dad (so cute). Congratulations Sara - you deserve it!

i’m soaking up the sun… and headed south for a conference in San Antonio (staying at Havana, yes!!) and then in Austin until Saturday. What a special treat — and as Tracy and I love to say “I have my own car.” Meaning I’m hitting the every shop as quickly as I can before I head back to Dallas tomorrow. Happy weekend lovelies.

loops, swoops, stretches oh my… this weekend the city is filled with festivities celebrating the opening of the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge with Lyle Lovett, a Trinity River Run, and loads, loads, loads of entertainment. It’s a super exciting time around here — You can find out all about what to do and where to go right here. And I celebrated in my own way by rounding up all of the swoopy loopy goodness around town that I could find. Found here in the latest FD Luxe. Also – SCANDAL – check out the write up on pg 18 by Scott Cantrell on the ‘quite similar’ Italy bridge. Titled: “Designer Knockoffs: Did we just buy the world’s most expensive one?” Still extremely overjoyed to the beauty it has brought our city and happy to have it (we try to keep it all positive around here folks) but juuuuuust sayin’…
